PARK NAMED IN HONOUR OF VALERY GRAYFER CREATED IN KOGALYM WITH LUKOIL'S SUPPORT

Governor of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra Natalya Komarova and President of PJSC LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov took part in today's grand opening of the Valery Grayfer Park in Kogalym, Russia. The ceremony took place on the occasion of LUKOIL's 30th anniversary.

This new recreational destination for residents and guests of Kogalym, named in honour of an eminent oil worker who greatly contributed to the development of national energy industry, also informs its visitors about other legendary oil professionals. The park features a composition devoted to Valery Grayfer, as well as portrait sculptures of Stepan Povkh, one of discoverers of the largest West Siberian fields, and Vitaly Schmidt, head of Kogalymneftegaz company.

The 4.5 metres high Grayfer monument was created by Andrey Kovalchuk - the author of another famous Kogalym sculpture, A Drop of Life, a People's artist of Russia, an academician and member of Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts, and a winner of the State Prize.

Natalya Komarova and Vagit Alekperov also joined the ceremony of national, regional and corporate awards presentation to the Company's employees on the occasion of the Oil and Gas Industry Workers Day and LUKOIL's 30th anniversary​.​

A pentalateral agreement on the development of cultural cooperation in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District (Yugra) was signed today on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Their cooperation envisages construction of a building for a museum complex - the future location of the Kogalym branch of the State Russian Museum.
