Business School is the name of a new youth education project that has been launched. Upon completion in November 2021, the best young entrepreneur will win RUB 1 mn that they will invest in their business idea promotion.

The project is being implemented by the Development Corporation of the Udmurt Republic with support from the Government of Udmurtia. Sber and business training initiative BusinessClass are the project partners.

The initiatives participants submit will be evaluated in terms of their socioeconomic importance and practical use in Udmurtia. Other criteria are: maturity, innovativeness, and relevance. Authors of the best projects will move on to the educational stage of Business School.

The culture of entrepreneurship is vital for the development of society at large. Like any other culture, it develops during childhood and adolescence years, therefore Sber willingly supports youth education projects such as Business School in Udmurtia. I am sure that this initiative will attract the attention of young entrepreneurs, help them take their first and, most importantly, the right and independent steps in business. The more projects like that Russia has, the more successful startups appear. Startups are companies with a fresh outlook, capable of offering new solutions and approaches.

Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Sberbank

Business School will combine several formats: training, reality shows and selection of the best ideas. The training stage will last four weeks, and each of them will be dedicated to a specific topic. Participants will learn how to develop a product, package and promote it, and at the end they will try to sell it to real customers.

The organizers will give prizes at the end of each weekly block. The top four entrants will receive a Sony PlayStation 5, an iPhone XR 64, an Apple Watch 6 or Apple Airpods Pro.

Successful businessmen with immense experience, experts in product scaling and sales will teach the course. They are: the founder and head of an IT leader Center for High Technologies, Oleg Vylegzhanin; the founder of the Khlebnitsa bakery chain Andrey Geiko; the owner of Helpful People Yuri Parshikov; and a co-founder of Coffee Like Zufar Garipov.

BusinessClass, a Sber-Google project, is responsible for a special unit where participants will study entrepreneurship and business skills development.

Most of the Business School program will be held offline in Izhevsk, while online events will be available to young entrepreneurs from across Russia.

We have received over 800 Business School entries from young people across the republic. Some of the ideas are really good and thought-through ones - from smart systems for public catering to gadgets facilitating clothing and footwear care. We will help the participants finish up their products, tell them how to 'package', market and sell their products. The basic knowledge and competences the young people are about to receive here will improve their understanding of entrepreneurship and help them run new projects down the road.

Head of the Udmurtia Republic

The closing date for Business School online entries is August 25, 2021. School students and undergraduates between 14 and 20 years old from any part of Russia can submit their entries on the project website. The finals and the award ceremony are scheduled for early November.
