Mikhail Chachin, vice president, director of the State Sector Department, Sberbank:

"The tourism sector could serve as a driver of growth for the Russian economy, as our country is unique in terms of the variety of natural landscapes and the wealth of its leisure opportunities. However, the development of domestic and inbound tourism is hampered by insufficient modern hospitality capacities. For a number of years, we have been closely collaborating with Rostourism and federal and regional authorities to provide the national tourism industry with new opportunities. The agreement with Tourism.RF is yet another step in this direction. The document includes a list of specific projects at various stages of completion in which we would be willing to participate financially that could contribute significantly to the development of tourism in various regions of the country."
