Sber and SAP, in collaboration with experts from SAP Services CIS and the SAP Custom Development Center, have created a universal H2H (host-to-host) module for the direct integration of the bank's automated system with clients' ERP systems. Corporate clients will now be able to swiftly exchange payment orders and statements with the bank directly from SAP ERP. The new solution will significantly speed up daily financial document processing, as well as enhancing the security and transparency of operations. The module is already operational at X5 Group, Russia's leading grocery retailer.

Sergey Popov, director of the Transaction Business Division, Sberbank:

"The following requirements were incorporated into the solution: convenience, versatility, the ability to work in a single window, the speed at which documents are sent and signed, and information security - protecting payment documents throughout their lifecycle, from creation to execution and archiving. The conceptual design was begun in late 2020, and the development of the module took around six months. The project applied an agile approach and was managed entirely remotely."

The H2H module will allow clients to create, sign, and send documents directly from SAP ERP without logging in to the remote banking system. The bank's corporate clients will be able to monitor the execution of payment orders and receive prompt access to the main and interim bank statements for their accounts. Previously, it took seven to 10 minutes to process a batch of around 700 payments, but the process now takes only 20-30 seconds.

Interaction via the H2H module completely eliminates external interference in the exchange of financial documents with the bank. Files are directly transferred from system to system without manual operations or the use of third-party software. SAP ERP also monitors and logs all user actions. The documents are signed with an enhanced qualified electronic signature (EQES), guaranteeing additional document transparency throughout the lifecycle. Future plans for the solution include the implementation of foreign currency settlements for corporate clients, as well as multibank functionality.

Andrey Sharak, director of consulting and support services, SAP CIS:

"Both our specialists and teams from Sber and X5 Group were seriously involved in the project, making it possible to create a product that is market-driven and addresses business challenges, while working completely remotely. H2H technology not only increases the speed and security of financial document exchange - it also simplifies internal processes and saves resources. In the long term, it will help with the launch of innovative scenarios of interaction between the bank and corporate clients."
