Sber has arranged a SberTalk session at the 12th International economic summit 'Russia - Islamic world: KazanSummit 2021', which was held in Kazan on July 28-30.

The topic of the session was ESG Transformation of Regions on the Back of Global Trends. It addressed the principles of and approaches to ESG, which any company should be guided by the way its operations are guided by economic matters.

The session was moderated by Dzhangirov Dzhangir, Senior Vice President of Sberbank and head of Risks. Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Taliya Minullina, head of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency, and other international businesses and politicians attended the session as speakers.

Sustainable development as a phenomenon has been out there for decades. In recent years, the ESG agenda has become a priority for economies. The systemic role of sustainable development in the economy is obvious today. At the same time, it is crucial to realize that this brings both threats and opportunities for Russia and for Russian business. Adapting the right way is vital here. We see our role in helping regions and businesses to do this, including by building and scaling the expertise.

Dzhangir Dzhangirov
