Sber and the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation have concluded a strategic cooperation agreement. Sberbank Vice President and Director of the State Sector Department Mikhail Chachin and Deputy Minister of Sport Azat Kadyrov signed the document.

The agreement is aimed at achieving the goals mentioned in the Executive Order on the National Development Goals of the Russian Federation through 2030 and implementing the Strategy on Developing Physical Culture and Sport in the Russian Federation until 2030 approved by order of the Government of the Russian Federation.

According to the document, the bank will provide Russia's Ministry of Sport with banking services and analytical and information support for priority projects under the Development of Physical Culture and Sport state program.

In order to meet these challenges, Sber will be developing individual financial solutions, technology, and servicing conditions tailored to the Ministry of Sport's operations, as well as providing methodological and organizational support for the implementation of projects in the field of public-private partnerships. The bank is prepared to offer the Ministry of Sport, a strategic partner, the full range of its investment and banking services for the realization of its investment projects, including for funding events and projects in the framework of the state program.

I am certain that the agreement with Russia's Ministry of Sport will contribute to the promotion of physical activity among the population and the development of elite sport. Sber has all the competencies required to help the ministry implement the state program and is prepared to provide the necessary financial and non-financial instruments, including in the field of public-private partnerships, which will facilitate the accelerated construction of large sports infrastructure facilities.'
