Sber and Mosenergosbyt have signed additional agreements to supply green energy to the bank's offices and branches in St. Petersburg, Nizhny Novgorod, Yaroslavl, Tula, Voronezh, Yekaterinburg, and Irkutsk. Over 36 million kWh of RES energy are scheduled to be delivered by the end of the year.

The move follows a pilot project successfully completed in Ulyanovsk in late 2020.

Caring about the environment is a top priority for Sber and a vital part of its ESG strategy. The partnership with Mosenergosbyt is only logical and aligned with our course toward carbon neutrality. As many as 14 Sberbank offices currently use green energy, and their number will soon be growing.

Alexander Vedyakhin

First Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, Sberbank

Many of the large companies supporting the idea of businesses' social responsibility in terms of their environmental impact have entrusted us with their transition to power generated by renewable energy sources. This trust is due to the individual approach to project implementation. Driven by the convenience of customers and economic efficiency, we offer a variety of RES options. We are strengthening our positions in this segment, and our new agreements with Sberbank prove that.
