Sber and energy company Rosseti have concluded a strategic partnership agreement at the 24th St. Petersburg International Economic forum. Sberbank CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board Herman Gref and Rosseti Director General Andrey Ryumin signed the document.

The agreement envisages multidimensional collaboration on financial services in the interest of the company and its subsidiaries, including investments, and consulting and information support.

The partnership entails an exchange of experience and cooperation when investing in innovative sectors of the economy, knowledge-based industries, and highly promising assets.

To support Rosseti's manufacturing processes, the bank is prepared to provide digital technologies, including biometric (VisionLabs) and cloud-based (SberCloud) solutions, as well as the Sber ecosystem's operational solutions, which aim to improve the company's business functionality.

We undertook this agreement in an attempt not only to provide for the traditional type of interaction between a business and a financial institution, but also to look to the future, modelling cooperation in a wide variety of areas. Sber is prepared to promote the principles underpinning the agreement in order for Rosseti, one of the largest energy grid operators in the country, to implement cutting-edge innovative approaches as soon as possible.

CEO, Chairman of the Executive Board, Sberbank

Today we have signed yet another partnership agreement enhancing our cooperation with Sberbank. Sberbank is not only one of the largest financial institutions in the country, which has successfully collaborated with electric companies, it is also a leader in innovation that offers breakthrough solutions. I am certain that implementing the agreement will facilitate the resolution of the company's strategically important goals: improving operational efficiency, technological development, and the creation and promotion of new types of customer service.
