Three Sber products have won prestigious Global Infosec Awards in the field of cybersecurity.

  • Cyber Regulations was declared the most innovative project in the Compliance category. The unique development enables the bank to automatically monitor the compliance of two million infrastructural elements to over 1,500 Russian and international cybersecurity regulator requirements.
  • Sber's antifraud system was declared Editor's Choice in the Fraud Prevention category. The system detects 99% of all fraud attempts, ensuring the reliable protection of 100 million clients. In 2020, it prevented fraud involving RUB 57 bn. The fraud monitoring system is a unique development by Sber and comprises its own real-time transaction verification model, a link analysis interface, and analytical tools.
  • SberBank Online's cybersecurity services were deemed the most cutting-edge in the Security Project of the Year category. Clients should be armed with the tools and knowledge needed to protect themselves against scammers in the environment in which they carry out their financial operations - mobile banking. To that end, SberBank Online features a range of cybersecurity services aimed at client skills development, flexible financial instrument security management, and opportunities for interacting with the bank on cyberfraud issues. As many as 25 million SberBank clients already use SberBank Online's cybersecurity services.

Sber's well-coordinated cybersecurity team is achieving substantial results when it comes to protecting clients' funds and the bank from cybercriminals. However, the actions of Sber alone are not enough. Only by joining efforts with law enforcement bodies, service providers, and financial and public institutions on the national and international levels will we be able to make progress in this critical area. Sber is holding Cyber Polygon, now a tradition, on July 9, and the participants will exchange best practices in the fight against global cybercrime.

The Global Infosec Awards were established by Cyber Defense Magazine, a leading international publication in the field of cybersecurity. The goal is to celebrate noteworthy achievements by companies in various areas of cybersecurity. This year the organizers received over 500 applications from countries around the world. The winners include both well-known figures on the IT and cybersecurity market and startups. The judges are certified cybersecurity professionals.

Cyber Polygon 2021, an international capacity building initiative dedicated to the secure development of digital ecosystems, will be held on July 9. Cyber Polygon is an initiative by strategic digital risk management company BI.ZONE, part of the Sber ecosystem, and is supported by the World Economic Forum Centre for Cybersecurity and INTERPOL. The event is held annually; the 2021 edition will be its third. Cyber Polygon is aimed at strengthening cybersecurity on all levels. Traditionally, the event consists of two parallel tracks: an online conference for the general public and a practical module for cybersecurity experts. Speakers at the conference will discuss the key risks of digitalization and share best practices for secure ecosystem development. Technical training participants will learn how to deflect targeted supply chain attacks. This year a new feature will be added: video materials will be prepared for cybersecurity experts who are unable to attend the practical part of Cyber Polygon on July 9. Throughout the day, they will receive video recordings of the experts' presentations and breakdowns of the training scenarios from BI.ZONE specialists that they will be able to watch later.
