SberUslugi and SberInsurance analyzed the data on skilled workers registered on the SberUslugi platform and concluded that education specialists and craftsmen offer their services most often.

Almost one-fifth (17%) of all specialists registered on SberUslugi work in the field of education. Another 14% are handymen, who handle electrical work, connect household appliances, and perform minor repairs, while artists, creators, and freelancers (graphic designers, copywriters, translators) make up 13%. One out of 10 specialists offers health and beauty, IT, pet care, or cleaning services.

The SberUslugi platform was launched in November 2020 and is currently being actively developed, drawing in new contractors from all over Russia. In July alone, the number of self-employed persons registered on the service rose by 30% compared to June. Moscow, St Petersburg, and Kazan make up the top three regions in terms of the number of self-employed workers.

Both self-employed workers and legal entities offer services on SberUslugi. We can see that self-employment is increasingly popular among Russian citizens. Many choose to be their own employers or have a part-time job that provides an official income. According to the latest data from the Federal Tax Service, the number of self-employed persons has surpassed 2.5 million, and we are pleased that SberUslugi offers them the opportunity to provide services officially with a receipt issued and to seek new clients.

Many things are difficult to handle on your own, like starting a new language, learning to drive, reinstalling the operating system on your computer, or connecting your washing machine to the water supply. SberUslugi helps you solve these issues quickly and safely, especially since today any craftsman can insure their liability with regard to the customer through SberInsurance. If something goes wrong, the company will cover the damage. This gives the customer additional incentive to choose insured contractors.

Professional liability insurance taken out by the handymen on SberUslugi will protect the customer's interests, should the contractor unintentionally cause damage to their property or health in the case of substandard work, and will cover the contractor's legal expenses, should the customer have complaints. Craftsmen can take out a one-year policy in the SberUslugi app. In the case of an insured event, SberInsurance will reimburse the injured client up to RUB 200,000.
