UKRNAFTA Ukrnafta has completed construction of an oil well at the Verkhnyomaslovetskiy field in Skole district, Lviv region. The main geological tasks were completed during drilling: target horizons were uncovered, core samples were taken, wireline tests were conducted and a set of GWS (geophysical well surveys) was carried out. Ukrnafta's specialists managed to reduce the work period by 11 days. Work started on September 14, 2021, and the well was completed on October 26.
Currently, the facility has already been put into operation. Well #103 met expectations - its daily production rate is 29 tons of oil. The actual depth of the exploratory directional well is 1,455 m with a 570 m departure from the vertical, and the maximum zenith angle is 38°.
The Verkhnyomaslovetskiy oil field was discovered in 2001 by exploration well No.1. The field is in Lviv region, at an altitude of 800 meters above sea level. It is the only field in the Pre-Carpathian region discovered in the 21st century.
