Today, the Management Board of PKP CARGO S.A. ('Company', 'PKP CARGO') and PGNiG Obrót Detaliczny sp. z o.o. with its registered office in Warsaw ('PGNiG OD') signed a letter of intent ('Letter of Intent') declaring the Parties' interest in considering cooperation involving the provision of services by PKP CARGO consisting of the transport of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a gaseous fuel via the rail network.

The Letter of Intent is an expression of PKP CARGO and PGNiG OD's willingness to take action aimed at establishing long-term cooperation focused on the preparation of comprehensive LNG rail transport services within the country's borders and beyond. Both companies have also declared their cooperation aimed at arranging a pilot LNG transportation service on the Świnoujście-Oświęcim route in 2020.

At the same time, PKP CARGO has declared interest in establishing LNG transshipment centers to be located at the transshipment terminals used by the Company to enable the provision of comprehensive logistics services for PGNiG OD involving the transportation of LNG.

The Letter of Intent constitutes nothing more than an expression of both companies' intent to undertake cooperation and does not give rise to any obligations.
