Held May 6 in Las Vegas, the IMPACT Awards recognized outstanding achievements and top products in electronics design engineering.
More than 15 design engineering judges cited how ExpressFabric empowers designers with far greater system-architecture options as the market-disrupting qualities that won the IMPACT award.

PLX has extended the reach of PCIe for use as a fabric in data center and cloud computing through its ExpressFabric initiative. The PCIe interconnect is already native and dominant inside systems, and ExpressFabric enables a PCIe-based box-to-box fabric within a rack that eliminates the need for expensive, power-hungry bridging devices such as adapter cards which translate PCIe to InfiniBand, Ethernet or Fibre Channel.
