Polar Capital Technology Trust plc announced that Sarah Bates will step down as Chair of the Company and from the board, after the AGM on September 8, 2022. The Board is now pleased to announce that, subject to election by shareholders at the AGM, Catherine Cripps will succeed her on that date. Catherine Cripps joined the Board of PCTT on September 6, 2021.

She has considerable experience of the investment management sector. Catherine is currently a non-executive director of Goldman Sachs International and Goldman Sachs International Bank and of Maniyar Capital. She also acts as Chair of the Goldman Sachs International and Goldman Sachs International Bank Board Risk Committees and is a member of the Audit Committees.

She has previously been a trustee and chair of the investment committee for the Nuclear Liabilities Fund, and a non-executive director of CQS Management and of Merian Global Investors. In her executive career she was an investment director at GAM where she was head of research for the multi-Manager team and has held various positions in equity derivatives trading, risk management and product control, including some years in Asia. She is a qualified Chartered Accountant, holds an MA in Physics from Oxford and pursued postgraduate research in Quantum Information at Imperial College.
