POSCO (CEO Jeong-Woo Choi) delivers about 2,500 'special support kits' to the health care workers at hospitals dedicated to treating COVID-19 in the metropolitan area.

The kit is filled with ten different items, including health functional foods that help improve immunity and anti-fog eyeglass cleaning cloths. The eco-friendly kit bag is an up-cycling backpack made with car seats by social enterprises. This demonstrates POSCO's commitment to supporting health care workers as well as social enterprises suffering from COVID-19.

On February 9, POSCO held the first delivery ceremony at Seoul Medical Center in Seoul together with the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association. Seoul Medical Center Director Kwan-Young Song said, 'I thank POSCO for sending us these gifts packed with sincerity. It will be a great comfort and encouragement to the health care workers who are striving to treat patients and prevent the spread of COVID-19 even during the Lunar New Year holidays.'

POSCO plans to deliver additional support kits to Incheon Medical Center within February.

This is the second time that POSCO and the Korea Disaster Relief Association delivered support kits to health care workers treating COVID-19 patients since the support to the Daegu-Gyeongbuk area in March and April last year. POSCO prepared the support kit again this year to express gratitude for the hard work of health care workers in the metropolitan area, where COVID-19 continues to spread.

Meanwhile, POSCO donated 5 billion KRW to Korea Disaster Relief Association in February last year to help overcome the COVID-19 issue. Later in October and November last year, POSCO held a thank-you concert for COVID-19 health care workers at the National Medical Center and Seoul Medical Center. Also, in December, 7 health care workers fighting at the quarantine front line of COVID-19 were selected as 'POSCO Heroes'.
