POSCO : Supplies 26,000 Tons of Construction Steel to Shinsegae Eng. & Construction Co., Ltd.

l POSCO to supply steel plates including 11,000 tons of INNOVILT product, 'Pos-H' for construction of an 8-story building that goes 8-story underground as well
l The order to be the largest since the supply for building the Lotte World Tower, Incheon International Airport, and Parc1 Tower and the first to provide 10,000 tons of INNOVILT products

POSCO (CEO Jeong-Woo Choi) will supply 26,000 tons of steel plates to the construction of commercial facilities built by Shinsegae Eng. & Construction Co., Ltd.

This is the largest since POSCO supplied 420,000 tons to the Lotte World Tower in 2012, 51,000 tons to Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 in 2014, and 430,000 tons to Parc1 Tower in 2017. The order of 260,000 tons includes 110,000 tons of 'Pos-H,' a product of premium construction material brand INNOVILT. This is the first that POSCO will provide more than 10,000 tons of INNOVILT products.

'Pos-H' is section steel welded into the form of H-shaped steel using high-quality POSCO steel plates. Unlike H-shaped steel which is produced in standardized sizes with scrap iron, Pos-H is made with molten iron, so it is uniform in composition and has high stability. Also, since it is available in 440 types of customized sizes, clients can reduce cost through optimized design.

The commercial facilities to be constructed by Shinsegae Eng. & Construction Co., Ltd., are large-sized projects that cover an area of ​​24,000 square meters, with eight floors on the ground and underground. By applying high-quality Pos-H on the building frame, Shinsegae Eng. & Construction Co., Ltd. reduced 5.5 percent of steel frame, thus securing construction economic feasibility and stability at the same time.

POSCO said, 'POSCO will expand the choice for construction companies by supplying INNOVILT products, which are premium construction materials. We will continue to release differentiated products and solutions to the steel construction material market.'

POSCO plans to reinforce cooperation with Shinsegae Eng. & Construction Co., Ltd., such as expanding INNOVILT products to interior and exterior materials and accelerate the adoption of INNOVILT products in the domestic and overseas steel construction materials market with Pos-H in the lead.
