POSCO INTERNATIONAL has implemented "WFA Day" for all its employees to improve work efficiency and build a flexible corporate culture.

WFA Day stands for "Work From Anywhere Day", during which employees can work from an office of their choice once a week, no questions asked.

POSCO INTERNATIONAL currently runs five smart offices in addition to its Songdo headquarters. The company has its own smart offices at POSCO Center Seolleung, POSCO Tower Yeoksam, and Grand Central Building at Seoul Station, as well as the Group's co-working offices located at Parc1 in Yeouido and at Kumsegi Building at Euljiro.

All of the 190 seats across the five smart offices were occupied last Friday. Some employees were holding meetings at cafe-like settings, with those working in sales were constantly on their phone in the office. Everyone was highly engaged in their work at their seats booked through the reservation system, taking advantage of all that the facilities have to offer.

An administrative support group personnel in charge of running the smart offices said, "we never expected the smart offices to be this popular and fully booked. WFA Day is an opportunity for the employees to enjoy work at the locations they prefer."

Since the pandemic, POSCO INTERNATIONAL has been progressively increasing the number of its smart offices as a means to maximize work efficiency and convenience, with distributed and hybrid work becoming a new trend.

As a result, the daily average number of employees working at smart offices is more than 100, approximately 10% of all POSCO INTERNATIONAL employees, and this number is only expected to grow with the start of WFA Day last 16th. POSCO INTERNATIONAL anticipates WFA Day and the expansion of smart work centers to have a constructive effect on building a creative, flexible organizational culture and eventually help increase business performance by strengthening its client network.

On top of this, POSCO INTERNATIONAL is also reinforcing inter-rank, inter-generational communication in order to create the soft, skillful, and smart corporate culture it pursues. The online discussions open to the employees, the mentoring program between the Millennial/Gen Z employees and the executives, and the town hall meetings among the employees and the management are just a few examples of the company's efforts towards an innovative company culture focusing on communication and efficiency.
