Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Limited is a Bangladesh-based power transmission company engaged in planning, promoting, developing, operating and maintaining of power transmission system/network throughout Bangladesh. The Company operates transmission lines, sub-stations, load dispatch centers, and communication facilities. Its business includes power system management, telecom, international business, domestic consultancy, smart grid, human resources development, technology development, and EV charging infrastructure. The Company coordinates operations of regional, national, and international grid systems. It also provides consulting services in power systems and works on projects for other companies. The Company operates and maintains approximately 1,972 circuit kilometers of approximately 400 kilovolts transmission line. It operates approximately one high-voltage direct current (HVDC) station of approximately 500 megawatts capacity.
