On a per-share basis, the Midland, Texas-based company said it had a loss of 5 cents.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 3 cents per share.

The oilfield services company posted revenue of $250.1 million in the period, exceeding Street forecasts. Ten analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $227.4 million.
