At the start of the year, the ProSiebenSat.1 station chain benefited from the improved economy and thus also from rising advertising revenues.

From January to March, advertising revenues in Germany, Austria and Switzerland climbed by five percent year-on-year, the Bavarian television group announced on Tuesday. Its competitor RTL had also recently seen a noticeable increase in its advertising business. ProSiebenSat.1 also confirmed preliminary figures for the first quarter, which had already been published in mid-April. After a strong start to the year, the company is confident about the current year, said CFO Martin Mildner.

For 2024, the station chain comprising ProSieben, Sat.1 and Kabel 1 expects slight revenue growth to around EUR 3.95 billion (previous year: EUR 3.85 billion) - with a margin of plus/minus EUR 150 million. Accordingly, the adjusted operating result (EBITDA) is expected to fall to around EUR 575 million (plus/minus EUR 50 million).
