FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX Broker) - ProSiebenSat.1's muted profit expectations no longer shocked investors in the media group on Thursday. The shares recently gained 3.1 percent to 4.80 euros.
The previous day, they had fallen to their lowest level since 2009 in the wake of a weak forecast from competitor RTL, partly because market participants had already transferred RTL's problems to ProSiebenSat.1. RTL shares, which had reached a record low in the middle of the week, were unchanged on Thursday.
Both groups are suffering from the decline in TV advertising sales. The situation on the advertising market is getting worse, wrote analyst Jorg Frey from Warburg Research on Thursday. However, ProSiebenSat.1's figures for the third quarter were, as expected, quite respectable. However, the expert wants to lower his profit expectations due to the business environment./ajx/mis
