The saturation point of 4G networks in Belgium has been reached. This is according to a by the federal telecom regulator BIPT.

The networks of Proximus, Telenet and Orange scored well, but the average down and upload speeds decreased slightly: 75 Mbps and 23 Mbps against 80 Mbps and 26 Mbps in the years 2020 and 2021. Train speeds were lower: 50 Mbps download and 17 Mbps upload, down from last year.

BIPT signals the "first signs of limited degradation. This is mainly due to the increase in the number of devices connected to the network.
