Prudential Financial has appointed Jacques Chappuis as the new president and CEO of its global investment management business, PGIM. On 1 May 2025, Chappuis will replace David Hunt, who is set to retire but will remain as chairman until 31 July 2025 to assist with the transition. Jacques Chappuis, who has nearly three decades of experience in the investment management sector, will report to Prudential Financial international businesses and global investment management head Andrew Sullivan.

Chappuis served as the co-head of Morgan Stanley Investment Management (MSIM), where he was instrumental in the acquisition of Eaton Vance. His stint at Morgan Stanley also included leadership roles in the company's Investment Management and Wealth Management divisions. Chappuis's career spans various senior positions, including head of Alternative Investments at Citigroup's Global Wealth Management Group and managing director at Citigroup Alternative Investments.

He also has experience as a consultant with the Boston Consulting Group and as an investment banker at Bankers Trust Company.
