Prudential Financial : named one of the world’s most ethical companies for seventh year in a row

Corporate honorees praised for ethical leadership during an especially challenging year.

For the seventh consecutive year, Prudential has been named one of the World's Most Ethical Companies by the Ethisphere Institute®, a global leader in defining and advancing standards of ethical business practices. Prudential was one of six financial services companies among the 135 honorees.

In its announcement, Ethisphere said the recognition honors corporate leaders that understand the importance of making 'hard but values-based decisions,' and for their overall commitment to integrity. Its assessment process included more than 200 questions about culture, environmental and social practices, ethics and compliance activities, governance, diversity, and initiatives to support strong values. Ethisphere noted the significance of those metrics in 2020, given the many challenges of the year, and how honorees played an important role in their industries and communities as trusted, competent and ethical leaders.

'It's important that we not only lead by example, but also encourage a culture that empowers our colleagues to speak out to support and foster ethical conduct.'
