Company aims to help Americans understand how life insurance can improve their financial security

Prudential Financial, Inc., is celebrating Life Insurance Awareness Month with a $25,000 life insurance policy sweepstakes and by partnering with Tiffany Aliche, a.k.a. 'The Budgetnista,' to offer a free webinar focused on the benefits of life insurance.

The month of September is designated as Life Insurance Awareness Month by the nonprofit organization Life Happens to raise consumers' awareness of the critical role life insurance plays in an overall financial protection plan.

Those who enter Prudential's sweepstakes have the chance to win a $25,000 life insurance policy, allowing them to discover the diverse benefits a life insurance policy can have on their financial security. To enter the sweepstakes, visit prudentialsweepstakes2022.com.

Salene Hitchcock-Gear, president of Individual Life Insurance at Prudential, says life insurance can be a smart, easy and affordable way to replace income, reduce taxes, provide funds, supplement retirement and provide future generations with financial security.

'We are excited to help educate consumers about the protection a life insurance policy can offer,' says Hitchcock-Gear. 'Life insurance does more than just provide survivor benefits. It is a dynamic tool that can work alongside savings and investment strategies to provide a foundation to reach your goals, your way. We believe everyone deserves that.'

In a recent survey by LIMRA, nearly 42% of respondents say they are somewhat or not at all knowledgeable about life insurance, with 106 million adults reporting a need for life insurance, or more of it. To make it easier to purchase, Prudential has introduced an automated service that can quote a policy online within minutes, making life insurance more accessible than ever.

To inform more people about the benefits of life insurance, Prudential is partnering with Aliche, founder of the popular finance education company The Budgetnista, on a free webinar about life insurance and its fundamental role in financial protection.

'I am proud to partner with Prudential, a company that recognizes the role a life insurance policy can play as you plan your financial future,' says Aliche. 'I want people to understand that if you're new to purchasing life insurance for the first time, it's OK to start small. Over time, as your needs change, you can review your financial plan and adjust your life insurance coverage, to ensure you have the right level of protection.'

Aliche will lead the free webinar Get Good with Life Insurance on Thursday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. To register, visit Webinar Registration - Zoom.
