Indonesian conglomerate PT Astra International posted a net income for the January-June period of 11.38 trillion rupiah ($786.45 million), up 16% from the same period last year, the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The net income included the sale of its stake in Bank Permata.
Excluding the stake sale proceeds, Astra's first-half profit came in 5.5 trillion rupiah, down 44% from a year ago, as automotive sales slumped due to new coronavirus pandemic.
