PT Modern Sevel Indonesia, a subsidiary of publicly listed PT Modern Internasional TbK (JKSE:MDRN), announced on June 5, 2017 that it has scrapped a deal to sell its 7-Eleven convenience stores, citing certain requirements that have not been met by the potential buyer. Modern Sevel Indonesia had signed a business acquisition agreement with PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia (JKSE:CPIN) the local unit of Thai conglomerate Charoen Pokphand, on April 19, 2017 for the sale of its 7-Eleven outlets for IDR 1 trillion ($75 million).
