PT Multistrada Arah Sarana Tbk : Podium Finish for Team Achilles at Formula DRIFT Orlando

Hot and humid temperatures did not deter the fans from turning out to watch door-to-door action at Formula DRIFT Orlando. Team Achilles drivers Michael Essa, Dean Kearney, and Kristaps Bluss showed up ready to do battle in the Sunshine State.

All three Team Achilles drivers qualified in the top of the bracket with Essa fifth, Kearney eighth, and Bluss twelfth. Essa would have a bye run into the Top 16 with Kearney besting rookie Taylor Hull and Bluss defeating Jeff Jones to advance. Teammates Essa and Bluss would meet in the Top 16, with Essa edging out the victory and advancing to the Great 8. Dean Kearney would get the win after a One More Time battle with rookie Piotr Wiecek, putting him into the Great 8 where he would end the event with a sixth-place finish. Essa would battle his way to the finals and a second-place podium, his first of the season.

The current points standings for Team Achilles are as follows:

4 Place - Michael Essa

6 Place - Dean Kearney

12 Place - Kristaps Bluss

27 Place - Robbie Nishida

Drivers competing on Achilles Radial tires had a strong showing in the PRO2 class, with Nameless Performance driver Travis Reeder finishing in second place on the ATR Sport 2 tire. Brandon Schmidt came from 16 place qualifier to narrowly miss the podium with a fourth place-finish.

8th Place - Szilveszter Gyorgy
