AXIS Support Covid-19 Vaccination for Kampung Sejahtera Residents - Medan

Medan, 31 October 2021.PT XL Axiata Tbk (XL Axiata) through the AXIS brand continues to support the government's efforts to fight the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia, especially for young people. In commemoration of Youth Pledge Day which falls on October 28, 2021, XL Axiata supports the implementation of vaccination held by the Kampung Sejahtera Youth Association (P3KS) at the Multipurpose Field of Kampung Sejahtera, Medan City, Friday (29/10).

XL Axiata West Region Group Head, Desy Sari Dewi, said, "The support for the implementation of this vaccination activity is a form of XL Axiata's commitment in supporting the acceleration of the delivery of the Covid-19 vaccine to young people, especially in the city of Medan. We hope that this vaccination can immediately provide protection for them so that their productive and creative activities also recover quickly."

Desy added that AXIS as a youth brand has a spirit to support the creativity of the younger generation in their work even though they are still in the midst of a pandemic situation. For this reason, XL Axiata really hopes that this vaccination can be a door for more people to receive vaccination, especially young people. To date, more than 18,200 people have received vaccinations in Bandung, West Java, Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Pontianak, West Kalimantan and Jakarta. This support will continue until the end of 2021 in several other cities in Indonesia.

The implementation of the Covid-19 vaccine injection in Kampung Sejahtera received support from the Medan City Government (Pemko Medan), the North Sumatra Provincial Health Office, Medan Suwondo Air Base, and was supported by other partners. The total number of recipients of the Covid-19 vaccine, which was carried out today, reached 500 people.

The chairman of the Kampung Sejahtera Youth Association (P3KS), Aminurasid, said that "This activity aims at making the people of Kampung Sejahtera and its surroundings healthier and avoid Covid-19. This activity was held to increase public awareness of the importance of vaccines, especially young people in Kampung Sejahtera, as well as to move the wheels of the economy, and strengthen unity."

Regarding vaccination support in Medan, since September 8, 2021, XL Axiata together with RSUP H Adam Malik and the Medan City Government (Pemko Medan) collaborated to organize the Vaccination Center of Indonesia Bangkit for the general public. No less than 26 thousand residents have taken advantage of the facilities on this 36th day.
