July 29, 2021 - ALROSA has developed and approved a three-year Action Plan for the implementation of its recently approved comprehensive 2021-2025 Sustainability Programme aimed at increasing responsibility and transparency of its diamond mining and production operations, and strengthening of consumer confidence. The plan contains practical measures to achieve the goals set in the Program and improve ALROSA's management and reporting systems.
In 2021, ALROSA adopted a five-year Sustainability Programme which sets the company's fundamental sustainability principles and strategic approach to sustainability and identifies medium-term ambitions and key performance indicators.
To meet the commitments the Company has developed a comprehensive Action Plan for the next three years which includes a list of practical measures to achieve each of the Programme ambitions and improve ALROSA's management and reporting systems. In particular, the Plan covers such important activities as developing sustainability KPIs for the management, expanding the company's membership in relevant international initiatives and ensuring compliance with leading responsible business standards, developing strategic goals and practical measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and ensuring efficient use of natural resources, implementing the leading health and safety standards, focusing on human rights, anti-corruption, improvement of the risk management system and many others.
Supervisers at the senior management level have been nominated for each strategic pillar, and responsible business units and deadlines have been assigned for each action, including:

The Action Plan like the Sustainability Programme is subject to annual review and revision by the Strategy and Sustainability Committee under the Supervisory Board. The company has also committed to disclosing the progress achieved in its annual sustainability reports.
