Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) announces new appointments: Sergei Dubovsky is appointed Director of MMK-Metiz, having previously headed MMK-Lysvensky Metallurgical Plant (MMK-LMZ). His successor at MMK-LMZ is Alexey Kuznetsov.

'The new appointments relate to the implementation of large-scale investment projects at MMK and are aimed at improving the Group's organisational management structure and further enhancing the efficiency of business processes,' said Pavel Shilyaev, MMK CEO, 'I am confident that the business acumen and professional experience of the appointed directors will enable them to find new approaches and opportunities for the development of MMK Group companies.'

Sergei Dubovsky was born in Magnitogorsk on 2 May 1972. In 1994, upon graduation fr om the Magnitogorsk Institute of Mining and Metallurgy, he began his professional career at MMK as a sheet metal worker at Sheet Rolling Shop No. 4. He worked as a control station operator, shift foreman, site supervisor and deputy workshop manager. From 2012 to 2017, he was Head of Sheet Rolling Shop No.9. From 2017 to 15 August 2021, he headed MMK-LMZ.

Alexey Kuznetsov was born in Magnitogorsk on 9 October 1976. After graduating from Magnitogorsk State Technical University in 1999, he joined Sheet Rolling Shop No.10, wh ere he worked until 2012, rising from control station operator to deputy head of technology. After he worked as Head of MMK Metalurji's Hot Rolling Shop, Deputy Chief Miller at MMK, Head of Sheet Rolling Shop No.4, Head of MMK's Product Quality Department and Project Manager of Quality Management System Improvement. On 16 August 2021, he was appointed Director of MMK-LMZ.
