Orenburgneft JSC, a subsidiary of Rosneft Oil Company, has reduced its operating expenses on power supplies by more than 1 billion roubles per year due to the construction of grid infrastructure and switching to a lower tariff.

Over the past three years, the enterprise has built and reconstructed 16 power substations and 236 kilometres of overhead lines as part of a programme to improve reliability and reduce the operating costs of power supply.

The new substations are equipped with advanced automated control, data collection and transmission systems that allow remote control of the main technical parameters of the grid.

Improvement of the Company's production asset efficiency is one of the key components of the Rosneft 2022 Strategy. The Company carries out consistent work aimed at sustainable utilization of resources and reduction of energy consumption, optimization of electrical loads and thermal processes in accordance with the requirements of international standard ISO 50001 'Energy Management System'.

Orenburgneft JSC conducts exploration campaigns on 47 license areas in the regions of Orenburg, Samara and Saratov. The enterprise operates 132 licence areas and 183 fields.

Today, Orenburgneft's fields are supplied with power by 80 substations (35-110kV) with a total grid length of 1,831 kilometres (35-110kV).
