Moscow, Russia - July 14, 2021 - Rostelecom PJSC (MOEX - RTS: RTKM, RTKMP; OTCQX: ROSYY), Russia's national telecommunications operator, today announces that its Rostelecom.Key digital offering has recorded 165,000 households in 1h 2021.

The most popular feature of the service is the smart home intercom which lets homeowners talk with anyone at the front door and activate a home automation scene with the touch of a button in a mobile app or a voice assistant from anywhere in the world.

For almost five years, Rostelecom has been exploring innovative technologies and advanced software in its smart home ecosystem for flats and detached houses. The very first solution of cloud video surveillance for home security cameras (launched in 2017) has gradually evolved into a comprehensive offering by Rostelecom - 'Smart Home' - a platform allowing users to take control of their connected homes with the most advanced security standards.

The automated notification function, integrated with other Rostelecom's focused built-in solutions (such as leakage, movement sensors and smart sockets) is the peace-of-mind solution which became extremely popular among users. Further development of this proposition saw Rostelecom expand its smart home solutions outside of households into the digitisation of hallways and surrounding areas - now known as Rostelecom.Key - to allow for far stronger and more reliable security and connectivity.
