Gazprom Neft's production facilities in Moscow, Omsk, Ryazan and Vyazma (Smolensk Oblast) produced more than 2.4 million tonnes of bitumens between January and September 2021 - an 8% increase on 2020. Gazpromneft-Bitumen Materials also increased sales of low-volume (retail packaged) bitumens, selling 300,000 tonnes of polymer sealants, insulation materials and primers to construction companies and through DIY retail outlets in 9M 2021.*

"Active development of the transport network, together with the deployment of roadbuilding technologies, is increasing demand for polymer-bitumen binders (PBBs) ahead of other types of bitumen. Production and sales of Gazprom Neft's bitumen binders have more than doubled over the past three years. We're monitoring this trend and plan to expand production of sought-after PBBs at the company's plants and bitumen terminals, going forward."
