Milan - April 15, 2021 - Pure Storage (NYSE: PSTG), the IT pioneer that delivers storage as-a-service in a multi-cloud world, has been chosen by NEEN, a dynamic managed hosting services provider, to support its strategy to deliver agile and efficient infrastructure for custom multi-cloud environments.

NEEN designs and manages cloud infrastructure for web agencies in areas such as e-commerce and online publishing. It needed an infrastructure which supported customers' requirement for innovation, tailor-made solutions and transformation to cloud-native businesses. Key challenges included the need to:

  • Align infrastructure with an ultra-flexible cloud environment
  • Support clients' sudden peaks in demand and avoid overprovisioning
  • Move from traditional hyperconverged infrastructure because of its complexities and high costs

In order to expand its offer designing and managing custom multi-cloud environments, NEEN deployed its own cloud. Pure infrastructure provided the foundation and helped NEEN to simplify maintenance and reduced expenditure to run its cloud. The Evergreen™ subscription model means non-disruptive upgrades so NEEN and its customers can scale and grow seamlessly. Pure has also consolidated the existing infrastructure with an 8-1 reduction in racks and appliances. These features help NEEN to better meet client requests for predictable pricing, local data residency, and higher customisation capabilities and support digital transformation.

NEEN also avoided overprovisioning by moving away from a traditional cloud contract. However, the flexibility of the infrastructure enables NEEN to still provide scalable support for e-commerce clients when they experience spikes in demand. A microservices architecture and the use of containers provide software freedom and the focus has been on avoiding the complexities and high costs of a hyperconverged infrastructure.
