Qualcomm Chief Executive Cristiano Amon made about $2.4 million more in 2024 than he did the previous year.

The head of the semiconductor company made a total compensation of $25.9 million in 2024, up from $23.5 million in 2023, according to a Thursday filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. About $20 million of his compensation came from stock awards and his base salary was almost flat at $1.35 million.

Amon has worked at Qualcomm for about 27 years and served as chief executive starting in 2021.

Amon's total compensation was about twice as much as any other Qualcomm executive in the filing. Chief Technology Officer James Thompson made just under $13 million and Akash Palkhiwala, who serves as chief financial officer and chief operating officer, made $12.8 million. They both make about $900,000 salaries and receive about $10 million in stock awards in 2024.

Thompson, who has been at the company 33 years, is Qualcomm's largest individual shareholder with about 333,000 shares, according to the filing. Amon holds about 299,000 shares.

Vanguard Group owns about 10% of Qualcomm's shares and BlackRock owns about 8.4%.
