Across our range of Snapdragon platforms, we've demonstrated that "Snapdragon" stands for premium, high-speed, and reliable wireless experiences. We design our innovative platforms and technologies to complement each other and work together seamlessly. By doing this, users get best-in-class experiences across their devices, from laptops to smartphones to smart glasses - used separately or together.

At the 2021 Snapdragon Tech Summit, we launched our most powerful mobile and compute platforms: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Mobile Platform and Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 Compute Platform, respectively. Our suite of Snapdragon platforms brings smarter, more intuitive technology to a larger audience. Together, these platforms enable premium experiences throughout the day - from work to play, all day, every day.

To illustrate what this kind of cross-device Snapdragon integration looks like in action, let's look at a day in the life of Jane, a marketing manager in Seattle.

Morning

Jane's day starts when the alarm on her Motorola Edge+, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, rings. She grabs her phone, and before getting out of bed, she checks the weather and her social networks. The sun is shining, so Jane heads out on her morning walk around the neighborhood, listening to her favorite playlist. With Snapdragon Sound supported on her phone and earbuds, Jane's music sounds phenomenal with crystal clear audio. And thanks to a seamless handoff from Wi-Fi to 5G, she's able to enjoy crisp, high-fidelity audio and glitch-free streaming as she transitions from her apartment to the neighborhood and back again. While finishing her morning routine, Jane uses her AI-powered voice assistant with Natural Language Processing on her smartphone to easily set a reminder to call her family after work.

Eventually, Jane makes her way to the kitchen, where her Lenovo ThinkPad X13s, powered by the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 Compute Platform, instantly wakes when she comes into view. With Qualcomm Always-on Vision Technology, her always-on laptop senses her approach and logs her in without touching a button. Jane decides what to cook for breakfast and accesses the recipe through her smartphone-tethered Lenovo ThinkReality A3 smart glasses, which is powered by the Snapdragon XR1 Platform.

While cooking, Jane uses her AI-powered voice assistant to add items to her grocery list, which is synced across her phone and laptop, and check her email. As she eats breakfast, she streams the news on her smart glasses with clear, lag-free video in 4K resolution. After checking her calendar for the location of her first client meeting, she quickly sends the address to her smartphone, which auto-populates in her GPS app.

In the car, Jane uses her phone to navigate to the client meeting while talking hands-free to her partner. With AI-based echo cancellation and noise suppression, Jane's voice is isolated so she doesn't have to worry about background noise or picking up her phone and can focus her attention on driving. When there's more traffic than expected, Jane uses her phone's voice assistant to send a voice-to-text message to her client, alerting them that she'll be there in 10 minutes.

Workday

After arriving at the meeting, Jane uses her Snapdragon powered ThinkPad to run the presentation, a 4K video that's so crisp it seems like you could reach into the screen and pet the dog that's enjoying the kibble she's pitching. She's so happy with the cafe her client chose for their meeting that she decides to stay for a while and finish off some work. Thanks to her laptop's secure 5G connection, she's able to conduct market research, email her team, and download and upload files to the cloud securely - all while in a crowded cafe. With Snapdragon devices, Jane can access extreme connectivity - and be productive - almost anywhere.

While enjoying the ambiance of the cafe, Jane pops on her smart glasses and expands her digital workspace with multiple secure virtual monitors. These monitors populate in her AR space via her smart glasses, giving Jane a private digital workspace visible to her only, without any additional physical space required. Later, Jane uses her smart glasses to join a meeting with a colleague utilizing holographic representations of themselves in the Metaverse. Despite the crowded physical setting, Jane isn't worried about noise because her Snapdragon powered ThinkPad is equipped with AI-based echo cancellation and noise suppression, so her colleague can hear her clear as a bell. And when her server finally brings her the bill, the AI-powered presence detection on her laptop turns the display off when she looks away to pay, keeping her data safe from wandering eyes.

Evening

After work, Jane returns home to enjoy the sunset from her patio. Laptops that are powered by the Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 Compute Platform enjoy multi-day battery life, so Jane's laptop still has plenty of juice to take care of a few last things for work without worrying about plugging in a power cord. When a hummingbird flies up to her bird feeder, Jane captures a short video of the scene with 4K HDR 10+ video capture on her smartphone and quickly edits it directly on her device thanks to sustained GPU performance and powerful camera features made possible by Snapdragon technology.

With work officially done for the day, Jane decides she wants to dive into some gaming while enjoying the nice weather, so she streams a game from the console in her living room to her laptop. She puts her smart glasses on for a fully immersive experience, while her phone doubles as a controller. Flawless Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enable sustained performance with desktop-level rendering and extremely low latency, all from the comfort of her patio.

Before Jane calls it a night, she hops on a video chat with some family across the country. During the call, her laptop's camera works to keep her in focus and in frame with AI-powered Auto Framing and AI-enhanced video - even as her dog jumps in and out of the picture. As she disconnects from the call on her laptop, she sees a security alert pop up on her smartphone. Using her phone as a controller, she turns on the outdoor lights and pulls up the video feed and notices that she's received a package. After grabbing the box from the porch, she finally heads to bed.

With one last check of her phone, Jane eyes tomorrow's schedule and uses her voice assistant to set an alarm. With her phone playing some guided meditation, she drifts off to sleep.

All-day integration

We believe technology is at its best when you don't have to think about it - it just works. It's why we not only engineer our Snapdragon platforms to deliver premium experiences but to also ensure seamless integration between devices. Connected, convenient, reliable - as Jane demonstrates, Snapdragon powered devices are at the center of seamless premium experiences.
