Qualcomm : Snapdragon Compute platforms are leading the way for mobile education in the hybrid learning world

01/25/2022 | 11:17am EDT

Our teams have been working closely with school leaders across the country, discussing accessible and equitable mobile learning solutions for 2022 and beyond. We're committed to building a better tomorrow and empowering the next generation of learners through our innovative technologies and strategic initiatives-and we're not alone! We're excited to share two new Snapdragon powered education laptop options, the Lenovo 10w tablet which runs on Windows 11 and the HP Fortis 11 G9 Chromebook.

We know the past two years have reinforced the need for students to stay connected and engaged, from virtually anywhere, and the challenges and opportunities that come along with that are exactly why we've partnered with Lenovo and HP. Students need the flexibility to learn in remote and hybrid learning environments, making features like all-day battery life, advanced camera and audio, and leading performance essential to their success.

Lenovo 10w Tablet

The Lenovo 10w is ideal for younger students, and puts the power of learning in their hands with its ruggedized protection for daily wear and tear and detachable formfactor that converts from tablet to a 10.1-inch laptop for maximum versatility.

Powered by the Snapdragon 7c compute platform and running Windows 11, students using the Lenovo 10w Tablet will benefit from responsive performance, extended battery life, reliable Wi-Fi connectivity, and enterprise-grade security.

HP Fortis 11" G9 Q Chromebook

The HP Fortis 11" G9 Q Chromebook powered by the robust Snapdragon 7c compute platform, is exceptionally equipped for cloud-native mobile learning and provides secure and reliable access to the classroom. This Chromebook is HP's thinnest and lightest Fortis device built for the rigors of today's students and providing ultimate portability. It boots in seconds so students can spend more time learning and less time waiting. The device's 4G LTEconnectivity makes education more accessible and equitable for all students to learn from virtually anywhere.

We know that technology is just the beginning, and we're excited to hear how you plan to use it to accelerate and transform learning experiences. We're working closely with our OEM partners to help make mobile learning more accessible, and delivering a broad range of device options from which schools can choose.

Snapdragon is a product of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and/or its subsidiaries.
