Pure Minerals Limited announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Queensland Pacific Metals Pty Ltd. ("QPM") has entered into a binding reservation deed with Townsville City Council ("TCC") for the land it was previously conditionally allocated in the Lansdown Eco-Industrial Precinct ("Lansdown"). TCC's vision for Lansdown is to be Northern Australia's first environmentally sustainable advanced manufacturing, processing and technology hub. QPM's TECH Project is the ideal fit for Lansdown, as it is aiming to produce critical battery chemicals in an environmentally friendly manner, with zero liquids discharge and potentially zero solids discharge. Lansdown is positioned to realise the objectives of the Townsville City Deal, a 15 year commitment between the Australian Federal Government, Queensland State Government and TCC to a collective program of planning, reform and investment for Townsville. QPM notes that as part of the recent Queensland State election, the Queensland Labor Government announced $12m in funding for Lansdown to upgrade road and rail infrastructure.
