Suntory Holdings Limited is interested in buying stake in Radico Khaitan Ltd.'s (BSE:532497) assets. According to the news report, Suntory is close to buying stake Radico Khaitan's Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) business. It is learnt that Suntory will buy 26% stake in IMFL business for INR 9 billion.
Radico had received Board approval to hive off IMFL business into a separate subsidiary in October 2013. Radico will use funds to deleverage business.
