Raia Drogasil S.A. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2022. For the second quarter, the company reported sales was BRL 7,178.76 million compared to BRL 5,868.26 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 354.84 million compared to BRL 252.76 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2071 compared to BRL 0.1473 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2059 compared to BRL 0.1466 a year ago.
For the six months, sales was BRL 13,741.27 million compared to BRL 11,488.32 million a year ago. Net income was BRL 495.48 million compared to BRL 427.05 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2892 compared to BRL 0.249 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was BRL 0.2874 compared to BRL 0.2483 a year ago.
Raia Drogasil S.A. specializes in the distribution of medicines, cosmetics and dermocosmetics, perfumery, personal care and beauty products. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
- branded pharmaceuticals (42%);
- pharmaceutical additives (25.1%) ;
- OTC products (21.3%);
- generic pharmaceutical products (11.4%).
At the end of 2020, its products were marketed through a network of 2,299 pharmacies under the Drogasil (1,304) and Raia (995) brands in Brazil.
