RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2024. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was BDT 1,344.61 million compared to BDT 1,787.43 million a year ago. Net loss was BDT 147.67 million compared to net income of BDT 123.53 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was BDT 0.35 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of BDT 0.29 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was BDT 4,530.22 million compared to BDT 5,601.43 million a year ago. Net loss was BDT 110.92 million compared to net income of BDT 408.81 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was BDT 0.26 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of BDT 0.96 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was BDT 0.26 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of BDT 0.96 a year ago.
RAK Ceramics (Bangladesh) Limited is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of ceramics tiles, washroom sets, and all types of sanitary ware. The Company segments include Ceramics and Sanitary Ware, Power, and Security and services. The Ceramics and Sanitary Ware segment is engaged in manufacturing and marketing of ceramics tiles, bathroom sets, and all types of sanitary ware. The Power segment is engaged in setting-up power utilities and operates power-generating plants, transmission system and distribution system, and to sell the generated electric power to any legal entity. The Security and services segment is engaged in providing security guard, cleaning services, verification services, termite and pest control services, and set up manpower technical training. The Company has the capacity to produce approximately 118 million square meters of tiles, 5.7 million pieces of sanitaryware, 26 million pieces of porcelain tableware, and 2.6 million pieces of faucets per year.
