RealNetworks has introduced MaskCheck Kiosk, a hardware and software solution to keep businesses and offices safer by automatically monitoring and encouraging mask usage, according to a press release.

With the rise of the Delta variant, wearing a mask in public spaces is again one of the most effective tools in preventing transmission of COVID-19. Many municipalities, including the states of Washington and Oregon, are now requiring individuals in public places to wear face masks.

Features include:

  • Instant notifications of mask detection to encourage indoor mask usage.
  • Visual and audio prompts: "Please put on a mask." "Please adjust mask." "Good to go."
  • No facial recognition or sharing of data outside the customer's business.
  • Works fully autonomously when connected to Wi-Fi to monitor mask usage.
  • App reporting allows monitoring of mask wearing data at each kiosk location and viewing of nationwide compliance data in the MaskCheck Map.
  • Includes fully functional iPad.
  • Dimensions: 49 inches high. Tablet case is 12 inches wide, 5 inches deep. Base diameter is 13 inches. Weight: 27 pounds.
  • Post-COVID value: Can be repurposed as a customer kiosk with other apps.
