DENVER (AP) _ Red Lion Hotels Corp. (RLH) on Friday reported a loss of $8.1 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Denver-based company said it had a loss of 32 cents. Losses, adjusted for non-recurring gains, came to 51 cents per share.

The hospitality company posted revenue of $17.3 million in the period.

The company's shares closed at $1.73. A year ago, they were trading at $7.70.
