Redecard SA (Redecard) is a Brazil-based company active in the provision of credit and debit card transaction services. Redecard is involved in the merchant acquiring, capturing, transmission, processing and settlement of credit and debit card transactions. The Company provides commercial acquisition services for the credit and debit card brands like MasterCard, MasterCard Electronic, Diners Club International, MasterCard Maestro, Visa, Hipercard and Redeshop, among others. In addition, Redecard offers its customers a range of products and services, including point of sale (POS) equipment rental; check verification services; prepaid mobile phone recharging services; capture and transmission services for transactions carried out with voucher, private-label cards and cell phones, and an online capture technology for purchases made through websites and virtual stores. As of September 25, 2012, Itau Unibanco Holding SA held a 94.4% stake in the share capital of Redecard SA.
