Repsol SA is investing 32 million euros ($37.9 million) in a Spanish plant to expand its polymer production.

The Spanish energy company will adapt an industrial complex in the city of Tarragona to produce specialized polymers aimed at sectors like automotive thanks to their degree of resistance to impact, Repsol said Thursday.

The plant should start production next year.
