Republic Bancorp, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced net interest income was USD 49.638 million compared to USD 51.812 million a year ago. Net income was USD 23.922 million compared to USD 15.804 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 1.16 compared to USD 0.77 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 1.16 compared to USD 0.76 a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.8 compared to USD 0.86 a year ago. For the half year, net interest income was USD 103.016 million compared to USD 104.284 million a year ago. Net income was USD 49.975 million compared to USD 42.501 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 2.42 compared to USD 2.04 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 2.41 compared to USD 2.04 a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.78 compared to USD 1.54 a year ago.
