Item 8.01 Other Events.

On July 27, 2022, the Board of Directors of Republic Services, Inc. (the
"Company") approved a 3.5-cent increase in the Company's regular quarterly
dividend to $0.495 per share. The dividend will be paid on October 14, 2022 for
shareholders of record on October 3, 2022. The Company issued a press release
announcing the increased dividend, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit
99.1.
