WOKING (dpa-AFX) - The most valuable Dax group Linde plc says goodbye to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Shareholders voted in favor of the move with at least about 93 percent of the vote, the world's largest industrial gases company announced Wednesday in Woking, UK. The withdrawal from the Frankfurt Stock Exchange is reportedly expected to take effect on or around March 1. The Dax will thus lose its most valuable member: the company was last valued at around 150 billion euros.

Linde plc shareholders are to receive one share for every one share held in the new Linde holding company, which will be listed on the Nyse exchange in New York. According to index experts at Deutsche Bank and Societe Generale, Linde's successor in the Dax is likely to be the arms group and automotive supplier Rheinmetall./stw/mis
