Rio Tinto Group completed the acquisition of unknown minority stake in New Zealand Aluminium Smelters Limited and Boyne Smelters Limited from Sumitomo Chemical Company, Limited.

Rio Tinto Group (LSE:RIO) agreed to acquire an unknown minority stake in New Zealand Aluminium Smelters Limited and Boyne Smelters Limited from Sumitomo Chemical Company, Limited (TSE:4005) on May 31, 2024. Sumitomo will sell 20.64% of New Zealand Aluminium Smelters and 2.46% of Boyne Smelters.

Rio Tinto Group (LSE:RIO) completed the acquisition of unknown minority stake in New Zealand Aluminium Smelters Limited and Boyne Smelters Limited from Sumitomo Chemical Company, Limited (TSE:4005) on November 1, 2024.
